Partners

Trismegistos' information is at least originally based upon that available in a variety of partner projects and institutions. Some of these (marked as TM-projects below) change their data in the Filemaker database underlying the online XML-version, so that Trismegistos will always be up-to-date. Most partners work in their own databases, outside our Filemaker environment: some provide updates of their information on a regular, often yearly basis; others just send us their new records to unambiguously identify it through the unique TM-identification number, e.g. TM 4523. With others Trismegistos has no formal cooperation as yet, but we hope to remedy this in the future.

The following is a list of partners in the alphabetical order of their abbreviations, including both university-based projects with their specific chronological, geographical, linguistical, or thematical limitations, and collection-based projects focusing on texts preserved in a specific place. The search engine of Trismegistos Texts allows searching for information about the location (inventory number), publication (including the name of the editor), material, language, provenance, and date. The list of results provides links to the Trismegistos information and to partner projects: bilingual records included in both the HGV and the DAHT have been identified as such in the two databases, and it is possible to compare the two sets of information. The same is possible for semi-literary texts, magical papyri and school exercises that are found in both the LDAB and the HGV.
