TM 78025 Record to be adopted by: you?

Stable URI (with TM ID): www.trismegistos.org/text/78025

also known as Cleopatra Papyrus; Kleopatra Papyrus

TM Gallery info The Cleopatra Papyrus (TM 78025) is a Greek grant of several important privileges, including tax exemptions, to an important Roman. It is famous because the order contains a subscription 'May it happen!' by Cleopatra hereself, although there is discussion whether it is actually her signature or that of a mandated court scribe. As an ephemere administrative document it lost its importance and was recycled as mummy cartonnage, from which it was recovered.
