Description: |
Loose seal. The seal most probably originates from Egypt. The verso has clear traces of papyrus fibres and the clay has been examined (Ton, der Graniteinsprengsel enthält). The inscription contains: The name of the owner Apollophanes and the christian invocation Ι(ησοῦς) Χρ(ιστὸς) Β(οήθι) ( Β(οήθι) = the number 99 = Amèn) |
