TM Arch id: 713
Protagonist: Parates son of Iou-f-aou (Go to TM People)
Description: Archive of tax receipts issued to Parates son of Iou-f-aou and his wife Tnephereus, who is attested as copayer (261-258 BC). Parates has a brother called Phatres (TM 130147). Three further ostraca mention the protagonist, but these rather not belong to the archive because of their contents and acquisition history (TM 130147, 69661; the reading of Parates’ father’s name in TM 51835 is uncertain). Parates, his wife and family members are probably also found in some other ostraca and papyri, see O. Taxes 2, 2011, p. 270-1 (taxpayer 21A). If these identifications are correct, Parates was a mortuary priest.
