Description: This archive contains papyri of four joined bank directors (tax collectors) between 199 and 129 BC: Herakleides, Diogenes, Apollonios III and Hermias I. It was the richest known banker’s archive. Some of the documents deal with the priest of Amonrasonther, although most of the papyri are payment orders for the tax collectors. A lot of the documents also deal with state sales or auctions.
