Psenchonsis son of Teos, mortuary priest

TM Arch id: 707

Quick facts
biligual: Demotic and Demotic-Greek
private: tax receipts archive
Found in: U04b - Memnoneia - Djeme (Thebes west)
BC03

Protagonist: Psenchonsis son of Teos (Go to TM People)

Description: Archive of receipts issued to Psenchonsis son of Teos (266-241 BC), once to the protagonist and his wife Senmonthis. Psenchonsis was a mortuary priest as suggested by Muhs. He may also be listed in O. Taxes 1 17. His double name Psenminis suggested by the Greek version of O. Taxes 1 35 is probably a scribal mistake.

Studies: O. Chicago Muhs, 2005, p. 113 (taxpayer 15)
