The Ghent university library preserves 136 Greek papyri, bought on three occasions.
1. In 1908 Fr. Cumont (1868-1947) bought a first lot, mainly administrative documents from Theadelpheia (inv. 1-48 + one unnumbered papyrus).
2. In 1922, the RUG received a lot of about 20 papyri from the Egypt Exploration Society (inv. 49-75) (cf. Coles, Location-list, 1974, p. 4, no. 86).
3. A last group of texts (inv. 76-135) was bought in Egypt by J. Bidez (1867-1945) in 1927; only one item is published, a fragment des Sortes Astrampsychi .
