TM Gallery info The Mappa Mundi of Albi (TM 336345) is a parchment sheet with a horseshoe representation of the entire ancient world, centered around the Mediterranean, but up to Britain and India. Dated to the 8th century, it is one of the oldest maps of its genre. It was inserted in a similarly dated manuscript with fragments of Latin Christian authors, that was originally owned by the episcopal library of Albi. The document was confiscated during the French revolution and is now in the municipal library in the same city.
