also known as Botorrita III
previously also TM 376406 (double)
TM Gallery info Botorrita III (TM 381533) is, together with two similar texts from Botorrita, one of the very few longer and well-preserved Celtiberian texts. Dated to the 2nd-1st century BC, the text consists of a heading of two lines, the interpretation of which is as yet uncertain. Below that are four columns identifying over 200 individuals. The fact that texts like these were written down on bronze tablets suggests the influence of the Romans, who had conquered the area at the beginning of the 2nd century. The inscription was discovered in 1979 and is now preserved in the local museum in nearby Zaragoza, Spain.
