Tabula Traiana

The Tabula Traiana (TM 192652 ) is a Latin inscription from AD 100 commemorating Trajan's construction of a military road, on the border between Serbia and Romania. When a large dam was constructed in 1972, the 350 ton chunk of rock with the inscription was moved up about 22 metres (by the same company that also relocated the tempels of Abu Simbel!), and it can now only be reached by boat.
