Column of the Goths

The Column of the Goths (TM 197830 ) is a column which was erected to celebrate a victory over the Goths, probably by Claudius II Gothicus or Constantine, in the late 3rd or early 4th century. It has a Latin inscription which was written over another one, whose reading, interpretation and origin are uncertain. The column now stands in Gülhane Park in Istanbul.
