Nagau Helmet A

The Nagau Helmet A (TM 653571 ) is one of a collection of over 25 bronze helmets in Etruscan style buried near Negau, currently Negova in Slovenia. They are now kept in the Kunsthistorische Museum in Vienna. Most date to the mid fifth to mid fourth century BC, although the priests that wore them only concealed them around 50 BC. Negau A is one of the few inscribed ones, perhaps with Raetic texts identifying successive (?) owners.
