so-called First Century Mark

The so-called First Century Mark (TM 75927 ) is a fragment which was once claimed to be the earliest surviving New Testament papyrus. Its publication in the P. Oxy. series made clear that it actually dates to the late 2nd or early third century, but it also showed that it was owned by the Egypt Exploration Society and was illegally removed from there and sold, allegedly by an Oxford don.
