Ayer Papyrus

The Ayer Papyrus (TM 63301 ) is a 1st century AD Greek treatise on measuring land, designed for use in surveying farm lands of irregular shape. It was acquired in Egypt in 1895 by Edward E. Ayer, the first President of the Field Museum and also a keen ornithologist and ichtyologist.
